Hengchun Houbihu Route (Seasonal)
During peak season (Apr-Sep), ferries also run from Hengchun Houbihu Harbor to Lanyu, taking about 2.5 hours. Ideal for travelers departing from southern Taiwan.

How to Get to Taitung?
By Train
Take Taiwan Railways from Taipei to Taitung Station, approx. 3.5-5 hours. Puyuma/Taroko Express takes about 3.5 hours.
By Air
Fly from Taipei Songshan Airport to Taitung Fengnian Airport, approx. 50 minutes. Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air operate flights.
By Bus
Take a bus from Kaohsiung to Taitung, approx. 3-4 hours. Or take a ferry directly from Hengchun to Lanyu (seasonal).
